Vintage 1950s black suede open toe shoes with sparkling rhinestone (crystal maybe?) toe bows and heels. Beautiful design with buckled slingback strap with amazing sparkling rhinestones decorating the vamp via circular plastic buckle (no missing stones) and 3.6 inch heels. Designed in a timeless style that is very flattering and that could be paired with a 50's or modern outfit perfectly. They are made by 'Rayne', a very high-end shoemaker of the time. 'Rayne' was holder of a Royal Warrant to Queen Mary, Queen Mother and the Queen, also supplying the shoes worn by the Queen, Princess Margaret and Princess Anne on their wedding days. They created the shoes worn by Elizabeth Taylor in the film Cleopatra – as well as supplying footwear to many other film stars, from Marlene Dietrich to Brigitte Bardot. Very high end item in their day.

Please take note that vintage shoes are sometimes narrower than modern sizings, so please read the measurements carefully and measure against your own foot and make sure that your foot is slightly smaller than the shoe for a good fit.

C O N D I T I O N:
Very, very good. While these shoes show wear to the sole and the footbed pad the suede is still very supple. Minimal wear to the straps and suede with scuffs here and there. A few of rhinestones show a little darkening but most are shiny and bright. There is one stone on the left heel that appears to have been pushed in below the level of the leather (see pic) but is hard to see unless you look very closely. Still sold AS IS.
