Ridgefield home town memories

When the Bryant and Harris Strawberry Farm was in full swing we would bring truck loads of strawberries to downtown Ridgefield's Simon's Cannery. Many trips were made to the cannery throughout the day. We had several big flat bed trucks.. Dad used to let me sit on his lap behind the wheel and steer the missive truck. Simon's had a large scale to weigh the trucks when loaded with (and without) strawberries. silver color wears for bridesmaid With Sequins

On the way back to the fields we ... would stop at Foodliner Grocery store and get an ice cream bar.

One time I rode my horse to the cannery and asked if they would weight him for me...he weighed 1100 lbs.
