IF BABIES ARE READY TO DO SOMETHING THEY WILL DO IT

Arjun started walking properly 2 weeks ago at 16 months. It is the most exciting time!
I wanted to write this post to reassure parents that children do things in their own time.

...

NHS guidance states that most babies take their first steps sometime between 9 and 12 months and are walking well by the time they're 14 or 15 months old. If you are worried about your child's motor development or they haven't made attempts to walk by the time they are 18 months then of course get everything checked out for your own peace of mind but if your child has been hitting his other milestones or thereabouts and is showing signs of wanting to walk then just let them get on with it in their own time and don't worry about 'late walking'. items with 3 4 sleeve to wear of the wedding

As the amazing Janet Lansbury says 'if infants are ready to do something, they will do it. In fact, when they are ready, they have to do it!.' I have seen how sure Arjun is about each of his movements and how in tune he is with his body. In most instances he knows exactly how his body can and can't manoeuvre and I attribute that to the fact that we look an organic child-led approach to his walking.

Check out my video on why Sand and I didn't 'walk' our baby before he was able to walk by himself:
